    Based on my experience while working with group 4 on the different types of speeches, we learned new techniques and ways to make our speeches more precise and connect with people. We began with the preparation of the powerpoint, and once we divided the chapters, we organized ourselves so that the presentation of the powerpoint would remain pristine.

    I was in charge of doing chapter 17, which focused on discussion panels and formats. The purpose of these discussions is to facilitate a structured conversation between experts on a specific topic and which guides the discussion and introduces panelists so that questions from the audience can be handled in some way.

 

    Regarding my chapter, it also talks about the roundtable discussion, which is an informal, collaborative conversation where participants, often experts or individuals with knowledge of a specific topic, gather to exchange ideas and perspectives.Unlike more structured formats like panel discussions, roundtables encourage a free-flowing dialogue, allowing all participants to contribute equally to the conversation. The setting is typically informal, with participants seated in a circular arrangement to facilitate open communication.Roundtable discussions are often used in academic, business, and policy-making contexts to generate ideas, solve problems, or discuss complex issues.

    This chapter also talks about the importance of forums. In the presentation the meaning applies that a forum is a structured public discussion where individuals or groups gather to engage in dialogue on a specific topic, often following a formal presentation or series of speeches. The purpose of a forum is to allow participants, including the audience, to ask questions, share opinions, and engage in open discussion. Forums provide a platform for diverse viewpoints and encourage interactive communication between speakers and the audience.The purpose of the forum is to help educate and inform participants about a particular subject or issue.

    To make clear what chapter 17 itself requires is that Discussion formats, such as forums, roundtables, panels, and symposiums, play a crucial role in fostering communication, collaboration, and critical thinking across various settings. In academic settings, business environments, and community gatherings, discussion formats serve as structured platforms for exchanging ideas, sharing information, and solving problems. Recognizing the importance of these formats helps us understand their impact on communication and how they foster deeper connections among participants.
